Blog Post 13: The Work You Don’t See

From the outside, it might seem like nothing is moving forward on the platform. No big announcements. No flashy updates. No dramatic reveals. I want to take a moment to be transparent about what’s really happening behind the scenes.

Right now, the work feels quieter—but it’s much deeper.

I’m engaged in the critical sit-downs needed to launch this properly. These conversations don’t always show up in social posts or visible milestones, but they are absolutely essential. These are the meetings where we slow down, ask the tough questions, and ensure the foundation is rock-solid before building anything on top.

I’m working closely with my team to refine our direction—what steps we take next, how we execute them, and why. Every decision is made intentionally because rushing now would do more harm than good. When you’re building something designed to serve a community—not just release a product—you have to embrace the unglamorous groundwork first.

There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes effort happening: research, planning, alignment, and relationship-building. This is the kind of work that rarely gets noticed unless you’ve been part of a major project before. It’s not flashy, but it’s absolutely critical.

Let me be clear: just because it’s quiet publicly doesn’t mean progress isn’t happening. It means our focus has shifted to making sure what comes next is sustainable, thoughtful, and built to last. This phase is about integrity over speed.

YumYumRunner™ isn’t being rushed to impress—it’s being built carefully to truly work. For vendors. For the community. For the long haul.

I deeply appreciate everyone who’s been patient, supportive, and trusting during this part of the journey. The visible milestones will come. For now, the work is happening exactly where it needs to be.

Still building.

Still moving forward.

Even when it’s quiet.
