YumYumRunner™ Refund & Returns Policy

At YumYumRunner™, we support local creators, home chefs, artisans, and small businesses throughout Hampton Roads. Each Vendor prepares their products with care, and many items are handcrafted, made-to-order, or perishable. Because of this, all refunds and returns are handled directly by the Vendor at their discretion.

This policy explains how refunds work across the marketplace and what customers can expect when issues arise

1. Vendor-Managed Refunds

Each Vendor on YumYumRunner™ sets their own refund and return rules based on the type of products they offer.

Examples include:

  • Handmade items
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Food items or perishable goods
  • Digital downloads
  • Art pieces
  • Made-to-order products

Some Vendors may offer refunds or replacements.
Some may not, depending on the item type.

Refunds are not guaranteed unless the Vendor explicitly states it in their storefront policy.

2. Non-Refundable Items

Due to health, safety, and food handling regulations, the following items are not eligible for returns or refunds unless defective or incorrect:

  • Food and beverage products
  • Baked goods
  • Perishable items
  • Custom-made or personalized orders
  • Opened body/skin products
  • Items listed as “final sale”

3. When a Refund May Be Approved

A Vendor may approve a refund if:

  • The wrong item was delivered
  • The item arrived damaged
  • The product did not match the description
  • A Vendor determines a mistake was made on their part

For delivered items, customers should report issues within 24 hours with photos when possible.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Log in to your YumYumRunner™ account
  • Go to Orders
  • Select the order in question
  • Click Contact Vendor
  • Explain the issue and attach any photos if applicable

Vendors are expected to reply within 48 hours.

5. Vendor Responsibility

Vendors agree to:

  • Respond to refund inquiries professionally
  • Review claims in good faith
  • Clearly communicate their policies in their storefront
  • Handle disputes respectfully

YumYumRunner™ reserves the right to step in if a Vendor becomes unresponsive or repeatedly fails to resolve issues.

6. YumYumRunner’s Role in Refunds

YumYumRunner™ is a marketplace platform, not the seller of Vendor products.

We:

  • Do not manufacture or package the items
  • Cannot guarantee individual Vendor policies
  • May assist in communication if needed
  • May issue courtesy credits on a case-by-case basis
  • May investigate repeated complaints against a Vendor

We strive to keep the marketplace safe, fair, and community-oriented.

7. Refunds on Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are generally non-refundable, as they cover the cost of dispatching an approved driver to complete the service.

A delivery fee may be refunded only if:

  • No delivery attempt was made
  • A system error occurred
  • An order was cancelled before the Vendor accepted it

8. Cancellations

Before Vendor Acceptance

Orders cancelled before a Vendor accepts may receive a full or partial refund depending on payment processor rules.

After Vendor Acceptance

Once a Vendor accepts an order:
  • Materials may already be purchased
  • Food may already be prepared
  • Custom work may already have begun

Refunds after acceptance are not guaranteed.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

Customers who file improper chargebacks may have their YumYumRunner™ account limited or suspended.

We encourage all users to resolve issues through the Vendor first.
